Question:   What is the "coolest" or most interesting thing that has happened to you since becoming a published author?

Paty Jager: This sounds kind of morbid, but after a gathering for a relative's funeral, my daughter and I were starting to drive away after saying good bye to family. A lady came running out of the building waving her arms. We stopped and she leaned in the window. "Oh, my heavens, I didn't realize who you were until someone mentioned you're an author. I had to tell you your aunt has given me all your books, and I've loved every one of them."

Question:  What is your favorite "guilty" pleasure and why?

Paty Jager: A pedicure. I had never had one until a few years ago when my daughter gave me a gift certificate for one on my birthday. Now, I try to get a pedicure once a year. I love having my feet massaged.

Paty Jager: Agatha Christie. The way she weaved a mystery and 'real' people into her stories is amazing.

Question: If you could meet anyone of your characters in person, who would it be and why?

Paty Jager: This is tough because all of my characters are like family and I feel like I know them. And have met them. I guess it would be Aileen the heroine in my June release, Miner in Petticoats. She's been through a lot and yet has a strong sense of who she is and what she wants out of life. And fierce maternal instincts.

Question: If you could travel back in time for a month long vacation, which Era would you visit and why?

Paty Jager: It would be the 1800's in the West. It's what I write because I love the wildness, the struggles, and that people had to rely on themselves to survive.

Paty Jager: Lauri Robinson's Shotgun Bride for a fun, uplifting read, an Agatha Christie mystery to keep my mind busy, and a survival book. ;)
