Ingela F. Hyatt's Biography:
Born on the East Coast, Ingela has lived with her family in the North West for the last 23 years. Since grade five she has been writing short stories, poetry, and novels. For Ingela writing is a passion that drives her to write the next story buzzing around her head, becoming thoroughly immersed in the worlds and characters she creates.
Since adolescence European history has fascinated her, prompting Ingela to acquire and study a vast library on the past cultures on the British Isles and France. She is always eager to learn more so her books will be as exciting and historically accurate as possible.
At the age of 14 Ingela began reading historical romance novels and has amassed an extensive collection of authors. With her love of history and writing, it was a natural progression to create her own tales.
In June 2003, Ingela created a website: Historical Romance Club, dedicated to historical romance novels, writers, and knights in shining armour saving damsels in distress.
Never did she imagine it would take off as it has. Through her position as Webmistress and Editor, she has come in personal contact with many romance writers including: Jo Beverley, Virginia Henley, Teresa Medeiros, Bertrice Small, and others.
After seven years, nine manuscripts, and 128 rejections, Ingela finally sold her first book and signed a contract with Samhain Publishing in February 2006. The future’s so bright, she feels she now has to wear shades.
